Occlusal Splints
When you sleep, you may exacerbate your TMJ tension and pain without even realizing it by clenching and grinding. Our custom occlusal splints are designed to help protect your teeth against bruxism as well as take pressure off of your jaw joints to provide you with more long-term relief. All that’s required for you to benefit is to wear your splint every night!
Equilibration/Occlusal Adjustment
Improperly fitted and adjusted restorations, such as fillings and dental crowns, can lead to an imbalanced bite. As a result, one or both of your temporomandibular joints can sustain additional force and tension that leads to pain as well as other symptoms of TMJ disorder. To help ease this strain, our team can adjust the fit of your restoration to even out your bite with a treatment called occlusal adjustment.
